Secure data erasure, with minimal destruction

Where data is present and devices are functional, data erasure is carried out using fully certified software, aligned with recognised industry standards.

Our emphasis is on erasing more and destroying less.

Where erasure is not technically possible or commercially justifiable, devices are securely destroyed through WEEE Directive compliant partners.

The outcome for each device is recorded individually.

Police liaison and due diligence

In line with the Recyclers Code of Conduct, devices that trigger due diligence flags are held in quarantine for a defined period.

This allows appropriate access for relevant authorities in support of:

  • Ongoing investigations
  • Attempts to repatriate devices with original owners

Only once this process is complete are devices released for reuse, recycling or destruction as appropriate.

Audit reporting and visibility

Every device processed on your behalf is captured within an itemised audit trail.

The Ready Set Recycle Client Portal provides authorised users with 24/7 access to:

  • Item-level audit reports
  • Data erasure certificates where applicable
  • Key identifiers such as IMEI or serial number
  • Processing outcomes and timestamps

Environmental responsibility

Wherever possible, devices are prepared for repurposing following certified data removal. Items that cannot be reused are recycled responsibly through certified downstream partners.
